Cookies Policy

1. Use of Cookies

Cookies are small text strings that are automatically saved on your computer when you visit certain pages on the internet. It is possible to receive cookies that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements present on the site you are visiting may reside. There are different types of cookies, grouped into the categories of technical and profiling cookies. Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an IT service – explicitly requested by the subscriber or user – to provide such a service. Cookies are not harmful to your computer; in the cookies we generate, we do not store personally identifiable information, but use encrypted information collected to improve your stay on the site.

Cookies can perform a number of functions, such as allowing you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving user experience. In fact, they are useful to identify and resolve errors, or to identify relevant related products to show to the visitor during navigation. Archiva S.r.l. also reserves the right to use anonymous analytical cookies to collect information about users of the site, such as IP address, type of Internet browser and operating system used and/or web pages visited by a user, for statistical or security purposes. Archiva S.r.l. may collect this information to track the use of the site and improve certain aspects of it.

2. Disabling (“opt-out”) cookies

The data protection regulations provide that the user can authorise the use of cookies (“opt-in”) by continuing to browse after reading the window with the warning about the use of cookies. The user may also disable cookies that have already been set (“opt-out”). The opt-out is provided for so-called “technical cookies” (art. 122 of the Privacy Code), as well as for cookies that do not fall under “technical cookies” (“targeting cookies” and “analytics cookies”) previously accepted (“opt in”) by the user (if any).

By virtue of this distinction, you may proceed to disable and/or delete cookies (“opt-out”) through the relevant settings of your browser and to disable and/or delete individual non “technical” cookies by following the instructions given here, specific to the browser you are using:

Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the web. Profiling cookies will be activated and used by the site only if the user gives his or her prior consent to such use.
